If it wasn't for alcohol, those seated in the skyboxes would have jumped years ago.

I was worried that the Big 12 wasn't going to let us drink at tailgates. I almost had a heart attack...

Tom the Grinch. What will Larry the Cable Guy do for entertaining now except to tell hoary jokes. With the booze cut off, he will not be as funny in his sky box.

More like the NCAA has spoken - or, are there different rules depending on whether you are seated in a skybox versus any other seat in the stadium?

Well if the university sells the alcohol to the patrons of the skyboxes then they'll just make more money. Isn't that what ISU does.

Correct. You have to buy alcohol in the boxes at ISU. The only place it is free is in the Jacobson Building with the President.

So does this mean they'll be sneaking their flasks into skyboxes?

Probably keg size flasks as university goes wink-wink.

He's worried that if they get too drunk, they will get all tangled up in the puppet strings that he uses to control the coaches from up there.

I guess he can still throw hot dogs out the windows to all of the other rednecks in the cheap seats.

Re: God has spoken - "No booze at FB Games"

Tom is worried that Hairy Husker might fall out of the skybox.

The recent Sigma Chi fiasco showed the native Nebraskans enjoy their sports too much.

His next suggestion will be to pray before the skybox people start eating their muchies.

Taking booze away from football fans seems unamerican.

When their team is getting blown out by USC at home, the booze soothes the high paying fans. Heaven forbid that they would have to watch the games.

I think the ban has been in place for a number of years, but they have publicly gone wink-wink and openly allowed the demon rum into hollowed ground for those with deep enough pockets.

The Ego thinks the order has been restored and will no longer tolerate the winking. All hail Tom.

The NCAA does not ban beer at campus football stadiums - only at NCAA championship events. It does "recommend" not to sell beer, but does not ban it.
