From the article it definitely sounds like Cael has had it in his mind for some time that he wanted to go to Penn State. It was just a matter of when the job would open up and if he would be offerred it.

Really sheds some light on how the thing went down.

at what point does it become tampering when he speaks with the wrestlers on the current ISU team about transfering. Even though it's his brother it should be tampering to talk about leaving ISU. Anybody know the rule?

Re: "Sanderson leans on family" article

I'm not sure why, but reading this article makes me think about and feel better about our football program.

This is the 2nd coach within a year that has revealed that his new position is something of a 'dream job', putting ISU in the light as a stepping stone. CPR gives me the opposite impression- a guy that missed Ames, wanted to get back to Iowa, and is here because he wants to be.

The Chizik hiring was probably a lesson learned for Pollard, in regards to the coaching search. It's important that the new coach wants to be here; it shouldn't be entirely us selling the coach on the school and the program or vice versa. There needs to be some mutual respect there.
