I wish the Paulsons were a bit older. They would be great coaches I think.

Either Bono or Jackson would be a great get. Once all of the smoke clears and everyone comes down off the ledge two things will remain the same: ISU will still have a top 10 wrestling program and we will still be proud Cyclone fans!

Well said! There will be a host of top notch coaches out there wanting to be here to win championships.

    Re: Go Get Chris Bono....

I don't think Bono is the answer - he has not been able to recruit well at Tenn-Chatt. You can blame that on the name of the school, but look at the recruits that Brands was able to get at Virginia Tech. Great coaches can recruit no matter where they are.

The more I think about it, the more I think that Terry Brands would be the best possible get for Pollard.

I really don't have a problem if a former Hawkeye wants to become head coach and raise the bar. We did well when Ed Banach joined the staff not long before winning the NC in 1987.

Heskett is an asst. @Ohio St. and they beat us this year, the Cornell coach has bought that program from nowhere ( I think they beat us in a dual this year), and the Paulson's are doing good things @ Nebraska.

Bono? He's done a poor job at Tenn-Chat. He's had 3 years there - Maybe ISU needs a proven winner.

That was my guy 2020 Rob Koll from Cornell.....he's very talented and has had very good results at Cornell and really transformed their program. Not sure if we won't go after someone a bit younger, but, he's a great coach.
