    LOST: Some Like It Hoth

    Gotta love that title.

Did anybody else notice in last week's episode the numbers on the side of the crate Illiana was next to? And what is inside that crate? Whidmore?

So, are there going to be Star Wars references or something? I do like the title, but what the hell does it mean?

Could very well be him in the crate. I heard that the guitar case that Hurley is carrying doesnt have a quitar in it. He is bringing something to someone. I have a feeling Ajira was carrying many mysteries.

Just saw the episode from last week last night. Explained a lot! I like how we learned how Ben and Charles split apart.

Re: LOST: Some Like It Hoth

I did see it was a Miles-centric episode, which I've been waiting for. Of all the new characters added since season one, he is by far my favorite. Everyone seems to think Miles is the baby in the first episode of the season with Pierre Chang, so I'll be curious to see if that will actually be the case or if it was meant to throw us off.

Doc Jensen, the Lost guy at EW.com had an interesting take today that the Egyptian mythology is just a red herring and we're really dealing with Norse mythology. He can get a little long winded but a fun read nonetheless.

Ok, so what did everyone think? Pretty good episode, but nothing earth shattering, unless you didn't see Miles being Chang's son coming. Watching the last 10 episodes (or so) in a row from this season will be fun once they are all out.

I hate that next week is not a new one. Does anyone know why?

Re: LOST: Some Like It Hoth

My wife and I were trying to remember.... what happened to Daniel Fairaday? I mean, when was the last time we saw him (before the end of tonight's episode)?

I know that he was on the island during the "flashes", and he was there when Widmore's mercenaries came to the island in the chopper flown by Lapidus, but we can't remember what his situation was the last time we saw him.

We know the redhead died, and he was with her, but....... that's it.

    Can anyone refresh our memories?

Re: LOST: Some Like It Hoth

When they flashed to 1974 and joined the Dharma Initiative on the island, it's presumed that he somehow gets assigned to be a scientist. I'm guessing we kinda figure out two weeks from now in The Variable how the time-flashers got to be in the DI in the first place -- how Sawyer earned his way to the tip top of Dharma Security, and maybe how Dan got to earn a spot on the "cool kids" list in Ann Arbor.

Once we found out the time-flashers got sent back to 1974, Dan just kinda disappeared. Sawyer makes a reference to him when he finds Jack, Kate, and Hurley, but we don't know much more beyond that yet.

    Thanks, Airwalke.

I assume "The Variable" is the name of the next new episode... an interesting name, obviously, in contrast to "The Constant".

As always... I can't wait for the next episode.

Re: LOST: Some Like It Hoth

Although it was based around Miles, I am going to consider this episode the "Fun Times with Hurley" episode. The rapport between him and Miles about talking and seeing dead people was sweet.

All the game episodes are through. Now time for the meat.

Re: LOST: Some Like It Hoth

I think the biggest thing we learned from last night's episode is that there is another group trying to save the island. The guy in the van that picked up Miles asked him if he knew what lies in the shadow of the statue....the same thing that that Ilana chick asked Frank the pilot in last week's episode. Who are these people now?

I think they are working for Ben. Ben offered Miles 3.2 million to leave the island and tell Widmore that he was dead. That is the same amount Miles asked the people in the van for when they wanted him to not go to the island.

Interesting. So that Illana chick also works for Ben? Maybe Ben hired her to make sure that Sayid was on that plane to get back to the island.

Re: LOST: Some Like It Hoth

Didn't miles tell Ben to give him 3.2 million exactly....which would double the offer Naomi had.

Also, Miles and Hurley have great dialogue and chemistry.

So apparently Miles was born on the island?? He was 3 months old when we saw Chang read to him. You would think he would have to be born on the island because a baby that young wouldn't be able to travel very far. And then at some point Chang must have kicked out Mom and Miles.
