    Re: Taggart Testing NBA Waters

Or he wants to find out.

It makes sense that he'd try it now. He's done a nice job on some good Memphis teams, and maybe doesn't want a third college coach. It makes sense to me.

    Re: Taggart Testing NBA Waters

He most likely wouldn't go in the draft, he's just not a hard enough worker for most NBA coaches.

On a side note - Taggart was adamant that he would be a one and done player when he first came to ISU, now he'll be luckily to play anywhere but Tel Aviv.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Sometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.

    Re: Taggart Testing NBA Waters

I'll admit Taggart finally got it going on offense once he transferred but his defense still was terrible and he still needs to add weight. I doubt his work ethic is going to impress NBA scouts much either. Will be interesting to see if he pulls out of the draft after he gets some opinions.

I would love to live in Tel Aviv. Israel is one of my favorite places!

    Re: Taggart Testing NBA Waters

I just don't think he wants to be the one player left to turn the lights out in Memphis, given the mass exodus likely to take place after Cal left

    Re: Taggart Testing NBA Waters

My guess is that he will keep his name in because he has nothing to come back too. Memphis will be bad next year and the program as well as ST will slip into CUSA-nothingness, leaving him in a worse position than he is in right now.

    Taggert to Enter Draft???

Shawn Taggert is entering the NBA draft w/o an agent and with his amazing stats this year, I think that is a very smart move on his part! (Note the sarcasm)
