"You don't go 0-8 and lose 10 in a row and have all the answers," Rhoads said. "There's something else that needs to be done; there's a better way of doing things. They are working very hard to achieve that."

    Thanks for adding this link.

Re: Players Embracing New ISU Way

Good read, especially like the part about players aren't fighting the changes in how the coaching staff does things. Could be another sign that they players weren't sold on Chizik's system and they are starting to buy into Rhoads' already.

Surprisingly good read from the Gazette. Sounds like the attitude of the team is in the right place. But after 4 years in the bottom, I think I would be willing to try something new as well! Can't wait for the Spring game!!

Imagine how Rhoads' personality is going to carry over into recruiting?

He inherited this team and already he has "recruited" them into believing in him.

We've gone back to a coach who is buddy compared to a General. That can be good and bad.

George Patton was feared, but respected.

General Bradley was liked and respected.

The more I read players' comments the more I like our new staff and the more glad I am that Chiz is gone.

Seems to me that we actually got with Rhoads what we were promised with Chizik.

"The "hit you coming off the bus" pledge during his introductory press conference has become an unofficial team slogan."

Hopefully they make good on this. Glad to see the players responding to that attitude...

This would make a lot of sense if you weren't comparing Chizik to General Patton. I think Colonel Klink would be a more apt description.

Re: Players Embracing New ISU Way

I think this makes all the difference in the world, having players liking the system and the coaches. If you think about it, it would be hard to play for a guy(chizik) that is not a personable as what Rhoads.
