    My spring ISU/Iowa starting line-up

Seems like we had our Arnaud/Stanzi argument earlier, but I thought I'd throw down who I'd draft as my first team as I know them halfway through spring:

    QB.....ARNAUD
    RB.....AROB
    TE.....MOEAKII
    LT.....BULAGA
    LG.....Kuempel
    C.......Alvarez
    RG.....Lamaak
    RT.....Osemele
    WR....DARKS
    WR....Johnson
    WR....Johnson

    DE.....CLAYBORN
    DT.....Klug
    DT.....Frere
    DE.....BALLARD
    SLB....Hunter
    MLB...ANGERER
    WLB...EDDS
    DB.....JOHNSON
    FS.....Smith
    SS.....SASH
    DB....SPIEVAY

    P......Brandtner
    K......Mahoney

(all caps were pretty easy picks imo)

I mostly agree, although due to our performance last year, it makes it kind of easy. No way Iowa doesn't have a center better than Alvarez, heck, I hope we do. I think Jewel would give ARob a run for his money (and maybe Schwartz will for us). I am hoping Smith is challenged for a starting spot with Bell and Sims.

Re: My spring ISU/Iowa starting line-up

Pretty good looking team. But who is going to play tight end when Moeaki gets hurt tying his shoes?

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

LOL Monty. I am sure Iowa has another message board All-American to fill in. Seriously, I think Franklin is going to have a big year for us. If he doesn't, I will start to believe ISU has some type of policy of not utilizing TE's. I have seen him on campus; he has really worked hard in the weight-room.

I hope LJ knocks Moeaki silly again, but doesnt get flagged this time on a BS call.

I'll take Arob as the starter. Hes a proven Big 12 RB.

That was absolute BS! He was clearly leading with the shoulder, and they never made head-to-head contact.

You would seriously have 3 of ISU's OL and only 2 of Iowa's. Calloway would be at RT and Kuempel (it was Vandervelde) didn't even start last year. I would maybe give ISU one Oline starter, and thats only because Iowa is unsettled at center. Also, ARob over Hampton? Very doubtful!

    Kinda sort of.
