    CFN's Early Schedule-Based Prediction

    Scout.com: 2009 Big 12 North Schedule Breakdown

    Probably a little too optimistic, but I'll take it.

    Re: CFN's Early Schedule-Based Prediction

    In other words I'm not too far off base thinking 5-7 (North Dakota St, Army, Kent St, and two of Iowa, Kansas St, aTm, Colorado or Baylor)

    Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
    Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

    Re: CFN's Early Schedule-Based Prediction

    I honestly think we will get 4 out of the first 5 with NDSU, Kent St, Army, and either Iowa or K State. From there on out...who knows.

    Re: CFN's Early Schedule-Based Prediction

    I agree that 6-6 seems achievable.
    NDSU - W
    UI - L
    @Kent - W
    Army - W
    KState - W
    @KU - L
    Baylor - W
    @NU - L
    @TAMU - L
    OSU - L
    CU - W
    @MU - L

    I think that 6 wins should be expected with what we have coming back and the schedule. If we gel early and somehow pick off Iowa then all the better. I can also see us having a shot at A&M, but with our recent road issues I'm not counting on it.

    Best Case - 8-4 (L's to Neb,Mizz,KU,OSU)
    Disappointing year - 3-9 (W's to NDSU,Army,Col)

    Re: CFN's Early Schedule-Based Prediction

    Here would be my guess as to how your record plays out:

    NDSU - W
    UI - L
    @Kent - W
    Army - W
    KState - W
    @KU - L
    Baylor - W
    @NU - L
    @TAMU - L
    OSU - L
    CU - L
    @MU - L

    The way the schedule lays out could set up for major disappointment. It is very conceivable that you start 5-2 and then tank because the schedule stiffens considerably from the first half of the year. I can imagine how disappointed clone fans would be if you started hot and only needed to win 1 of the last five to become bowl eligible and couldn't pull it off, but I just don't see any wins coming from those last five games.

    I would actually prefer that to be the weekend of the Iowa/ISU game every season. That way Iowa could have less of a layoff because of the way the Big Ten ends the season early and the game would be played closer to the more traditional rivalry week for college football.

    Looks like an unbiased prediction.
