    Lance Armstrong in trouble again

Apparently this time... he took a shower!

I don't know, perhaps there's something that can be made of this. Maybe showering can affect the test? But apparently, the tester in question allowed him to do so as they validated his credentials. So who's to blame?

Seems a bit looney to me that tests on his hair, blood and urine came back negative, but then make a deal out of a breach in protocol that the person responsible for administering the tests ok'd.

Re: Lance Armstrong in trouble again

The methods the French will go to to prove that Lance doped has gone waaaaay beyond ridiculous.

Maybe Lance did dope. Not necessarily an unreasonable assumption since virtually every single cyclist on the planet does. But Lance is the most tested athlete on the planet and has never once tested positive. Either that makes him the best doper on the planet (in which the Federal government could take lessons from him on how to keep secrets), or he just might actually be clean.

But until the French or anyone else comes back with something more than something that makes them look like pure idiots that are once again foaming at the mouth, this is going to look like nothing but a group of people with sour grapes that will go to any length to tarnish the good name of one of the greatest cyclists in history (and it pisses off the French that that title doesn't belong to one of their own).

Cycling is their NFL. It's everything to their national pride. Lance winning like he did infuriated them.

Can we just set up a bomb to have a blast radius the exact shape of France and start over?

Re: Lance Armstrong in trouble again

It was like the joke Dibs told on the Dan Patrick show a few years back. He says, "Lance Armstrong has been suspended because the French found 3 banned substances in his hotel room...soap, shampoo, and deodorant." (or something like that)

I doubt LA ever doped. He's just a freak of nature with a heart 3 times as big as a normal person. Kinda like a white grinch, but without the stealing Christmas thing.

Wow - he's been tested 24 times since last September? That's better than every other week. And still they think they may ban him?

    French are worthless..

But this reminds me - the Iowa Chops are sponsoring "LiveStrong" night at the Well tonight (Sat 4/11). A friend from my bike club is involved in the event and thinks they've already sold something like 11K. If they get 15K, the Chops will make a substantial donation to the Livestrong program. We got tickets, a voucher for a towel or something, and $5 coupon to Wendys - all for $10 bucks.

So come on out if you can and help Lance fight the dirty French!

Re: Lance Armstrong in trouble again

I like that that this wasn't offical by the Cycling Organization and they didn't like it that the french are causing such a deal over it. This will be very interesting to see how it plays out
