    Leaving early for the NBA

A quick look at those that have already declared for the NBA draft. Hope these names will keep Brackins at ISU for another year.

    Blake Griffin (F) - OU
    James Harden (G) - ASU
    Earl Clark (F) - Louisville
    Jodie Meeks (G) - Kentucky
Devan Downey (G) - South Carolina
    Chase Budinger (F) - Arizona

Another tough forward/center that would likely go before Brackins

In mock drafts, they have Brackins 10th :( hope it's around late 1st

Also says he will probably enter, hopefully not with an agent.

    http://www.mynbadraft.com/2009-NBA-Mock-Draft

Here he's 25th to OKC, hope this is more accurate

    17th to 76ers

    draftpress

    http://nbadraftpress.com/2009mock.shtml 19th to hawks

ESPN has him outside lottery :)

Re: Leaving early for the NBA

It is a big list of names that already have declared early entry, those most likely and those that are 50/50. Some of these people most likely won't even get drafted. It is a waste if they hire an agent and don't get drafted. Should stay in school unless you are guaranteed to go 1st round.

If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team.

Re: Leaving early for the NBA

I'm no draft expert, but I see a lot of names on the board right now that I can see going ahead of Brackins. Throw in your usual surprise pick or two out of Europe and you're probably looking at Brackins going late first round, IMO.

I think you're right, except that you're underselling the surprise European picks. Seems like there is usually more than 2-3 even.

If he comes back for one more year, I think he's locked in the lottery. This year would be a late first-round. That's just my own assumption, though I think that Craig has the ability to play for a long time in the NBA.

    Discrimination lawsuit?

They told me they weren't looking for out-of-shape 36-year old guys with no high school or college playing experience. I think it's time to consider my options.
