    Any smartphone hackers on CF???

I have an HTC 6900 Touch phone through US Cellular. A US Cellular agent told me I should go to everythinghtc.com and see the downloads that are available. I downloaded Skyfire which is an awesome browser for the phone. I then go looking around and they have GPS programs you can get. I was told if I was with US Cellular that I had to get a external GPS receiver to utilize one of those programs. I googled it and have spent a lot of time lately on PPCgeeks.com and howardforums.com and after much reading found that there is a internal GPS reciever on these phones and you can get it working through some of the hacks out there.

I know it voids the warranty and I have the potential to "brick" my phone, but I want to use the the GPS on the phone. Some of the info out there makes it sound that if you know what your doing, you can enable the GPS without messing up your phone. But all I get is a bunch of different opinions about what works and how to do certain parts but can't for the life of me find anywhere that has the step by step instructions on how to do it.

There has to be some in the know hackers on this site that can help me out or point me where I can find this info.

    TIA.....

I don't know anything about hacking phones, but I highly recommend the "everything" site. I go to everythinginstinct.com for the Samsung Instinct, the "everything" sites are all related. I learned all sorts of cool tips and tricks from that site, got links to free games, etc. Very good information, so I imagine everythinghtc would be the same. There were also plenty of hacks too, along with the warning that you might "brick" the phone so I haven't messed with any of that.

Or just switch to Sprint... their GPS kicks ***.

HowardForums or PPC geeks is the place where you will get this answered or find the answer on how to do it.

I don't have that phone, but pretty much anything that can be done is talked about on Howard Forums.
