    Great Article on Clark

For once the Rag gives props to something related to Iowa State.

On a second thought, I couldn't be more happy with Rahshon this year. The man does not care about himself, but the team. He's humble, a great athlete and we all know he can blow the roof off of hilton with his dunks. For me, it would be really hard to give up being a great scorer and take a totally different role, but he welcomed it and look how well our team is gelling right now.

    Re: Great Article on Clark

Rahshon Clark...you just gotta love this kid.

"I've accepted it well," Clark said of his change from scorer to defender. "We have guys like Mike Taylor and Wesley Johnson that can score, and we have Jiri (Hubalek), too.

"I'm looking at myself to get rebounds and to play hard-nosed defense, because that's what we need right now."
"It's fun playing man-to-man defense because that's where you see how good people really are," Clark said of McDermott's signature defense.

"We played zone defense last year, so I wasn't really up to my full potential. I'm still not where I need to be, but I'm getting better day by day."
"My object (tonight) is that we don't want Richard Roby to score," Clark said. "We feel like if we stop him from scoring, that will take away a lot of the things that they want to do."
"If we're in a situation where our offense needs some (offensive) excitement, then I'll try for a high-flying dunk," Clark said. "If we're in need of a defensive stop, then I'll block a shot.
And the best quote of all...

"I'm willing to do whatever it takes to win a game."
Clark isn't just saying this stuff to look good for the media. He means it. You can clearly see that by watching any ISU game.

My hat is off to him - swallowing his individual pride for the good of the team had to have been tough. He's done it with a smile.

    Thank you, Rahshon Clark.

great quotes! you did what i was too lazy to do......but can't agree more. His actions back up his humble words! Also, I'm sure his lack of selfishness is rubbing off on the team! This in itself is another reason to fill hilton!

and does anyone else think we will lose to CU? I think we'll be hungry

    Re: Great Article on Clark

I think Rahshon proved his dedication to the team during the Mizzou? game he sat out for that long stretch while Brock Jacobson played because he was doing a better job on defense. He admitted that after the game, moved on and doesn't hold anything against Mac for doing that. What a great team player we have...

I love watching Clark, he may not be scoring or getting crazy dunks, but his defense is awesome. He is playing for the team and you gotta love it. All these guys are playing as a team and to try and win every game.

    Re: Great Article on Clark

I saw some footage from an ISU practice on the news a little over a week ago. When McDermott stopped the scrimmage to beat in a few points, it was Clark who looked the most attentive of anyone on the floor.

I still think that he's going to find an offensive groove, and he'll start averaging double figures on the offensive end. However, if he ends up being the hustle/leader guy (e.g. Kenyon Murray at Iowa) then more power to him.
