So their non-con is Miami-OH, Louisville, La-Monroe, and Eastern Kentucky.

Seems to be reasonable. Louisville isn't all that great anymore. The rest of their schedule is just their conference schedule. The SEC is tough.

The SEC is a tough schedule to have no matter who you are. Although the Big 12 can be tough, both the SEC east and west are tough. Not the conference I would want to play in.

No different than us. They're in a tough conference (SEC) and their arch-rival (Louisville) is a typically solid program in a BCS conference, other than their own. Sounds like us v. Iowa. Throw in two cupcakes, and BAM, same thing...

Gotta agree with most on here, I don't see what is so eye-popping about the schedule, their non-conf is well, set up much like ours. The rest they have no control over, it's the SEC folks, no easy games anywhere on the schedule.

    Re: kentucky football schedule WOW

I don't see that it's a lot different from our schedules.

They play top ten teams in Florida and Alabama.
We play top ten teams in Texas and Oklahoma.

They play a very solid team in Georgia.
We play a very solid team in Texas Tech, not to mention Missouri & Kansas.

They play some traditional football powers who currently suck, like Tennessee and Auburn.
We play some traditional football powers who currently suck, like Texas A&M and Colorado.

They play a mid-level BCS nonconference instate opponent in Louisville.
We play a mid-level BCS nonconference instate opponent in Iowa.

They play some cupcakes like Louisiana Monroe and Eastern Kentucky.
We play some cupcakes like North Dakota State and UNI.

We don't play the entire Big 12 in any given year, but they don't play the entire SEC in any given year, either -- there's no LSU or Arkansas on their next schedule.

Overall, it looks tough, but not any tougher than what we play.

    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

    Re: kentucky football schedule WOW

Louisville and Iowa are polar opposites

Iowa physical as heck good defense that hits hard and boring nothing offense.

Louisville soft team no defense but great offense with all the the bells and whisles.

    Sorry I can spell.

Point is the week after Louisville you are good to go the week after Iowa we are beat up.

We beat Iowa plenty but the hang over effect is not from emotion its physical play

I don't remember any major injuries in recent Iowa games that knocked players out of the game or out of future games. Except for Drew Tate in 2005, but I wasn't counting that one.

Serious injuries are one thing, but I am talking about the physical wearing down of a team if you played or were around football in college you would know what I mean.
