    Kansas gets tougher

Xavier Henry looks to be going to Kansas now that Cal is heading to Kentucky. He was down to Kansas and Memphis when he decided to head to Memphis to play with his brother.

If Collins and Aldrich both stay, Kansas is a top 5 team next year with Henry. They would have a great 1, 3, and 5 player with very very solid 2's and 4's.

    Re: Kansas gets tougher

I'll believe it when he puts pen to paper or enrolls.

X's dad said the same thing about a week before he committed to Memphis a few months ago.

This year's recruiting is amazing at the top. Wall, Cousins, Henry, Stephenson still don't have homes three months before they leave for college.

edit: Henry sounds like he'll be a real player from day one but I'd rather have Collins or Aldrich back if I had to choose. I feel like both should leave college from each financial standpoint (Collins has a kid, family never had money, the NBA rookie minimum could do a lot for him --- Aldrich's dad just lost his job, he would likely go lottery getting him upwards of $1mil). They're saying the things every player says about wanting to come back, and loving college, etc. We'll see in a month or two if they're just blowing smoke or if they really do want to come back. I could see it going either way with both of them.

It is b/c most of them are shady shady shady and have handlers. Wall and Stephenson especially. Wall is looking like he may go to Duke though which is somewhat surprisisng. Cousins will follow Cal to Kentucky. Henry liked Kansas better than Memphis the first time around but his brother got him to Memphis. He will go to Kansas.

Stephenson looked like a Kansas lock but if Henry commits I don't know if they take him. Henry has a lot less baggage and appears to be a better team player. I wouldn't be surprised if Stephenson goes to St. Johns

Xavier also just said he would take a trip to Kentucky to check it out. I would say it comes down to Kentucky and Kansas.

If they get another commit then by my calculations they will have 15 schollies next year. Bye bye sherron and cole!

    I'll take a Jack & Hilton

Possibly, but they could also have a transfer or two. FR PF Quintrell Thomas, perhaps, could be one.

These things have a way of taking care of themselves. Remember when people on here were scared they wouldn't have a scholarship for Barnes? That was hilarious.

    I heard Appleton might transfer

I was never scared that they wouldn't have a scholarship for Barnes, just that the coaching staff would give one out before they had one. They have shown that they won't do that. (Mann and Dendy situation) which is good to see

He'll be a senior, so I doubt it. I certainly wouldn't want to sit out a year just so I could play one more season for a non-contender, if I could ride the pine and have a decent shot at a national title. If he does leave, I imagine ISU would be one of his first looks. But I'm not sure ISU would want him any more. I'm not a big fan of juco guys in the first place, and worse than that are guys who are only going to be around for one year. Hopefully Gilstrap can prove me wrong on that. Regardless, it's hard to get continuity with one-year players.

If he transferred it wouldn't be D1. It would be somewhere where he could play right away. He isn't going to play next year at Kansas

I'm not going to say anything about his poor decision to go to KU and sit the bench and now be out of DIv 1 basketball......

Harrison - Decisions mean a lot and being on the court is PRICELESS!!!!!

That's not an issue with him. He'll be on the floor wherever he goes.

Yeah, the fact that Henry is going to KU would explain why Stephenson is postponing his announcement again, since Stephenson was widely seen as going to KU.

it really doesnt matter if they go to kansas because iowa state isnt going to beat them next year with or without them.. I would love for them to go to KU so the big 12 can have a shot at winning another national championship.

I wouldn't be surprised if Collins leave. He needs money to take care of his one year old. I have seen Collins and Aldrich past couple of days, so I think they are probably still undecided on NBA.

I'm not sure ISU had much of a shot this year either. Regardless, 2 out of every 3 people on this board picked ISU to win in the pre-game prediction thread. It took the best game of Brackins's life, as well as him having more FT attempts than KU's whole team for ISU to stay within 20.

edit: sorry if this comes off arrogant. The point is, fans on this site do have a history of thinking ISU has a good chance of winning any game, even when it might be unreasonable to think so.
