ISU WILL sell out the season tickets....

Check my threads...my predictions are pretty close to reality. ISU will sell out season tickets this season, and here's how it will happen.
Pollard has now named the stakes. Want top football at ISU, you buy season tickets. He has done it in a year with a lot of demand for the visiting teams including the Iowa game. ISU fans get first crack at it, but if we don't buy them up, ticket brokers will certainly be happy to buy the rest and sell them over the internet. By creating a demand, he is forcing the fence sitters to buy or be left out of the fun of ISU football. FOOTBALL IS A BIG BUSINESS, NOT AN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY LIKE IT USED TO BE. That means it has to make money. This is a decision he had to make, and it will work.

I agree, Pollard WILL pull this off. Like Jamie said, "For an extra $60, you can go to all of the games." Even if a bunch of Iowa fans buy season tickets, many of them may show up to watch other games simply not to let them go to waist.

For just $60 extra, the squaks would shred their tickets just to spite us. And I really can't blame them for doing that.

There is merely one guarantee in life...

That it will eventually end for all of us.

Otherwise, we just gotta keep on living to find out how other things play out. I think JP will find a way to get this done, we'll just need to wait until August to see if he does.

IF hawk fans should buy tix... for whatever reason- well then we should thank them for supporting Cyclone Athletics, getting us some future recruits down the road, and bettering our facilities.

I'm not worried- In Jamie I Trust.

Hawk fans may even decide to go to the texas game to revisit their glory of the Alamo Bowl. I expect a lot of Hawk buyers so they can hawk the extra tickets on ebay. Might even be some Panther season ticket buyers who would like to see Sooners play. The tickets will be bought by someone. Stubhub is a marketplace to sell.

screw the visiting teams, if we let other teams buy our season tickets we deserve every put down we get. damn, this is embarassing. lets raise our expectations a bit. think about having a football environment like a rowdy hilton crowd. think about that for a minute.

Re: ISU WILL sell out the season tickets....

Does anyone have any serious idea of when tix will sell out, including hawk fans and brokers? I have a pretty serious chance at getting transferred back to Des Moines for work, but I won't know for several months probably. If so, I will definitely buy a season ticket, probably a pair. I just don't want to buy until I know for sure that I'll be back....but I don't want to wait until August and be out of luck...

Maybe Jamie has sponsors and donors lined up to buy any extras.

My guess is end of Feb. Tax refunds come through so we can buy season tickets.

Sell out, as in 46 some thousand tickets? I can't see that happening after a 4-8 season. I know this news has turned away some former season ticket holders from renewing.

Re: ISU WILL sell out the season tickets....

How many of these $150 tickets are going to be available anyway? I assume all the $99 people from last year will renew, so there just cannot be that many $150 seats. Everything in the normal sections should be $350 seats.

It will take time to sell out the stadium...and it might be right up to the first game. So I wouldn't panic about tickets being gone yet.
