    End Zone Tickets

For those of you that think you can buy End Zone tickets ($125), I'm pretty sure you'll never have the chance, unless you had End Zone season tickets last year.
I spoke with the ticket office today and they told me that End Zone season tickets will not go on sale until May 1, if there are any available.
People that had these tickets last year, will be given the first opportunity to renew these seats for this year, and I can guarantee you that most of these people are going to try and increase the number of tickets for this year.

    Re: End Zone Tickets

I'm pretty sure this move is more directed at screwing over the Hawks than it is about our fans. You know a lot of the Hawk fans are going to try to go the cheapest route, that is, the end zone tickets. Next is hillside at $150. If a majority of our fans can buy up those tickets while the Hawks are waiting for May 1st, they're going to get stuck paying $195 for the Cy's Pack (which I'm sure sounds the most disgusting to them), after that, they have to pay $350.

I really hope this information is NOT made public...

    Re: End Zone Tickets

I think the endzones were soldout last year, weren't they?

That would be the reason why they won't go on sale until May 1. The current holders have first dibs to renew. So they'll wait to see who doesn't renew and how many are available.

I really don't think there's any other agenda than that.

I don't think there is any agenda, I'm just trying to point out to people that they won't get a chance to buy these.
Unless you had them last year.

I agree with you 100%, but I have to think Pollard would LOVE it if the end zone was all Cardinal come the game against EIU.

I just hope a Hawkeye fan never has a shot at those tickets.

    Re: End Zone Tickets

Correct, the South End Zone sold out and the current holders have first rights to them.

    Re: End Zone Tickets

Crazy idea here - Maybe what JP and co should do is figure out a way to move endzoners out of the endzone into the Cy's Pack area. I think the Pack goes for $195,

Maybe run a special promo to get the endzoners into a little more of a profitable seat at say, $175, and open what I consider the "intro" seats for a new batch of first timers.

I guess you could say that the Cy's Pack does that as it stands. But I'm guessing most people will simply renew, forcing new fans to skip over that opportunity - fewer of which are likely to do so. And by making it an "invitation only" - well most people are just suckers for that kind of thing.

What you're doing is a little more of a long term approach, keeping the front door open to new guests, and gradually encouraging fans to move into the pricier areas of JTS.

    ??????

    Re: End Zone Tickets

I love this idea DaddyMac, I really do. Only offer it to last year's endzone ticket holders.

IMO, e-mail it to JP - seriously. Maybe too late to get it done, yet I really like the idea. That way it frees up the cheaper tickets for other fans that may not pay the $195.

    Re: End Zone Tickets

I like the offer as well. If I wasn't working a job that required me to be at other College Football games every Saturday, I'd be all over those tickets...

    Re: End Zone Tickets

    Thanks.

Of course that flows into next season where you move the Cy's pack to the full priced for maybe 315-325 (comparative to this years prices), move the new batch of endzones to Cy's Pack and bring in new endzoners. The other positive is that it's an incremental move up and gives people like myself (although I'm not eligible) that "perk" or benefit they're always looking for to reward them for past purchases.

Within a couple years, you have a more loyal, entrenched fan base, and the moves then come through NCC.
