    Housing Advice?

So it's looking like I'm gonna be going to Iowa State next year and I need to choose some housing. I know I probably won't get what I want this late but does anyone have any advice? Thanks.

    Re: Housing Advice?

Thanks I heard Maple/Willow/Larch were fun buildings but was told I probably wouldn't get into Maple at this point.

Larch was a very fun building last year

    Re: Housing Advice?

I know of a mobile home for sale next to the vet school. This is the year to buy because I think you can get 10% back as a tax credit.

Well thanks for the info but I think I'll be staying in the dorms next year. Sounds like a good deal though!

    Re: Housing Advice?

BWR probably has some of the biggest rooms on campus. Not sure how hard they are to get into these days because unless you already are in a residence hall, returning students pretty much picked over all the rooms and made it tough to get into those buildings.

Linden Hall is not bad either, it's a fairly quiet building with some good sized rooms too.

Friley is awesome! Right on Welch, decent sized rooms, UDCC, and close to almost every class.

Larch is a total ****hole. There is currently a two square foot burn mark on the floor two doors down from me because a week from last sunday some kids decided to have a bonfire in the hallway. The sirens didn't even go off. It is loud constantly.

Friley is quiet when you want it to be and loud when you want it to be! I made an effort to get into Friley and has paid of greatly!

    Re: Housing Advice?

I just looked at some of the virtual tours and Maple looked pretty decent. Friley's room looked pretty big idk if it's just the way the picture was taken or what. Martin looks sweet but like you said I probably couldn't get in there. Linden was nice too. Thanks for the advice everyone!
