    Ken Miller and Pollard

I am hoping that Ken reads this b/c I can't find his email on the new KXNO website.

Ken....you are right that Pollard's hires haven't proven themselves yet. But your point about Pollard not hiring Fennelly at WI is probably flawed. Are you sure that Fennelly wasn't WI's first choice? Isn't it possible that he turned it down?

    Re: Ken Miller and Pollard

Considering I thought he was only the assistant AD at Wisconsin I didn't even realize that the hiring of coaches fell in his realm of responsibility...

It may not have. He could have been doing screening interviews then selecting a handful of candidates for Alvarez to interview.

    Re: Ken Miller and Pollard

Both Pollard and Fennelly have told the story many times: Pollard contacted Bill about the Wisky job, and Fennelly told him he was not interested.

When JP was hired, there was a train of thought that because Alverez was still the HFC, JP was the defacto AD and did most of the leg work.

Can't remember who - one of the ISU talking heads said their feeling was "wow, we just got the Wisc AD"

    Well, sorta.....

    Re: Ken Miller and Pollard

Miller actually tried to say that Pollard failed to hire Fennelly when Pollard was an assistant AD in Wisconsin. As bad as some of Pollards hires have been, I don't think you have a leg to stand on with this.

    OFF SUBJECT

So besides his lame attempt at doing a "Welcome aboard" like Marty use to do to open the show did he comment at all about what's went down at KXNO?

Alverez was the HC when JP left. Not sure where you're going with this.

New local shows coming next week. New local morning show and another afternoon show, in addition to Jon's show. Ken will be on board with another show as a co-host.

My bad, its just Bielema has taken them down from what they had been used to before. Nothing to do with Pollard though, my years were mixed up.
