Re: Animals found in your garage

We once had an awful rotting flesh smell in our house. It was horrible but not as bad as the garage so I knew something had died in there. Looked and looked and looked found nothing. So one day I went to throw away a bag of shingles that we didnt need and voila a rotting maggoty rabbit. Apparently had gotten scared and ran into our garage when we had it open. Somehow hid in the bag and never came out. I felt so bad for the thing. But dear God did it smell.

We also once chased a squirrel that had come down the chimney at my inlaws house. Finally chased it out the door.

I hear ya! The couple of corpses in my crawlspace are getting pretty rank. I must not have used enough kitty litter when I wrapped them up in heavy plastic.

Re: Animals found in your garage

One of my most vivid memories from childhood is of us finding a possum in our garage. It was late at night when we were coming home from something and it just stared at us as the car's headlights shone on it. It wasn't going anywhere, and my parents were worried it could have rabies or something, so my dad ended up having to beat it to death with a baseball bat.

At my Grandmother's house, a squirrel once came up through the toilet. Poor thing froze to death when we sent it back out.

You cant use kitty litter, thats for oil spills. You have to use lime and wait..I mean I dont know what you have to use, I have never done it.

I know someone in my town who had a deer come right into their house. It was a summer day and they had their screen door open. Next thing they knew the deer was freaking out in their house!

I had a similar smell that led me to my black bird. Evidently, when I was looking for him, I moved the tv stand and squished him to the side of it. I thought he had just found a way out. That was somewhat gross.
