    Re: 09-10 roster

6-6 Anna Prins will make a big impact. Plus we will have 6-1 Zimmerman from Ballard, 6-2 Poppens from Aplington-Parkersburg, and a 5-11 g/f from Missouri that can play several positions. Very good class.

Lacey will be back as will Bolte. It will all come down to how good Anna Prins is. Supposedly she is very good. I trust Fennelly to have a decent team. At the very least they will play hard and smart.

    Re: 09-10 roster

G: Whitney Williams (So) / Denae Stuckey (Sr?)
G: Alison Lacey (Sr) / Alexis Yackley (So)
G: Kelsey Bolte (Jr) / ??? (someone probably needs to step up)
F: Ashley Arlen (So) / Amanda Zimmerman (Fr)
C: Anna Prins (Fr) / Chelsea Poppens (Fr)

We will be very very young in the post. Lacey needs to take over the reins from Ezell and make this her team. She needs to be much more consistent than she was this year (see MSU game vs. Stanford)

    Re: 09-10 roster

Zimmerman and Prins will most likely rotate at that 4 and 5. Prins has the height, but body and build Zimmerman is bigger and stronger and plays more physical in the paint. I'd like to see both on the court together, hopefully they can become the same duo that Welle and Gahan were.

I was pretty impressed with Whitney Williams last night. She seemed like our most athletic player.

    Re: 09-10 roster

It could be a rough start next year with all the newbies playing significant minutes. But I would expect by mid-season or later, the team will be very good again.

Agreed. Hope they all catch on like Bolte did her Frosh year.

It was clear she is very quick - I was impressed with how fast she could run through those screens.

    Re: 09-10 roster

The recruit from Michigan Jessica Schroll not from Missouri will be the biggest surprise. I believe she could be the Tracy Gahan of this class. She is very versitle.
She was injured a number times during her High school career.

Hopefully she can step in and provide a game-ready back up for Bolte, giving us a very good two-deep at each position.

    Re: 09-10 roster

Expect them to be shaky at first but finish strong! Ashley Arlen showed us tidbits of good basketball last night when she was put in, and we already have a strong foundation with Allison Lacey and Kelsey Bolte.

Jessica Schroll is from Michigan, not Missouri...

    Re: 09-10 roster

I think the bigger key to next year is Bolte stepping up to be a consistent second scoring option. They cannot afford to have her be the streaky offensive presence she was this year.

    Re: 09-10 roster

I think we'll be solid we return Aus and Kels who are two solid gaurds that can shoot im sure we will see more consistancy out of them i can see Williams playing PG and if that doesnt work out the best we always have Aus to take over but i think Whit can really contribute! i think denae will contribute a solid 15-18 min a game but needs to improve her shooting to get more playing time pry will avg about 3 ppg schroll will be a nice surprise! i see arlen and zimmer man battling for time at power forward and anna prins at center with poppens coming off the bench to play the 4 and the 5

    Starters
    pg- williams 6ppg 4apg
    sg- aus 15-17ppg 5rpg 4 apg
sf- kelsey bolte 13 ppg 5rpg 2 apg
pf- zimmerman 8 ppg 6 rpg or arlen 8 ppg 6rpg
    c - prins 11-13 ppg 6-9 prg 2-3 bpg

    off the bench-
    poppens
    schroll
    STUCKEY
    yackly a littlie bit

Absolutely agreed. BF gets so upset with her for passing up shots, I'm afraid a vein is going to pop on his forehead.
