But on another note, the raiders players have a criminal record that competes with the Hawkeyes.

You may have the passionate part right but best can certaintly be disputed. Example 1: Your signature. The best fans in sports hoping their owners dies? Riiight

Well considering everyone knows that the organization would be better off with somebody that was running it with some stability....I also probably shouldn't have added in the best as I can concede that to you since most Raiders fans aren't exactly the nicest but passionate yes we are.... although I might add I am not one that is a major jerk or anything

Re: The Newest Harrison Barnes Thread....

Before the tourney, I thought he was probably going to Duke, if not some other high profile school.

Now? I think ISU has the best shot. And as many know, I have been really pessimistic about ISU's chances. No matter where HB goes to school, he is going to be a big deal. But I actually think if he goes to a college like ISU and leads them deep into the tourney, he will get more attention. Think of Davidson last year, or Oklahoma this year. Do you think of the team or certain players? Exactly.

I heard Bill Self on the radio giving an interview during the tourney, and he was talking about players and defensive strategies, and he said that the best player KU faced this year was Craig Brackins, and it wasn't even close. Rather high praise. If HB chooses ISU, I actually think he may get more attention than at one of the high profile basketball schools. I know at first it doesn't seem to make sense, but think on it for a while.

The added benefit of staying close to family and friends may just be enough to sway him, not to mention one of the best fanbases in the country.

What is ironic is that the success that our women's team has enjoyed so far and the attention they are receiving may play a role in helping make up HB's mind. So keep it up girls!

The last father son conversation he had was specifically about this subject - as told by ronnie harris. Everyone realizes that Harrison if he is what's advertised against the elite competition could go pro after year one. But, his fathers last conversation talked about how the pro game could wait, go enjoy college, and get your degree. The potential for injury or length of playing career unknown, if you have your degree you will stand a much better chance at success outside of basketball. Ronnie Harris would be one to know this exact situation. So, from everything i've heard, he's very serious about going to school for 4 years and getting his degree...

Either way, I personally don't give a crap. NO one player is bigger than the program. If he stays fine.... If he goes, Good Riddence. Why set yourself up for what might be a disapointment. Adious if its warranted.

Sounds like a great dad to have. Very humble and appreciative family.
