    We went to a school function tonight to a museum, and my two boys got to play with one of these:

    I didn't, but not for the reason you think! There was a long line of kids waiting. I definitely would have held it. I've held tarantulas, death's head cockroaches, etc.

    While at ISU, I had 2 emporer scorpions as pets and they would let you hold them. Not nearly as cuddly as a puppy...but still a good low maintenance pet.
