ESPN "one foot in the door" for Craig Brackins

Players who are leaning toward declaring for the draft but haven't officially announced their intentions

I just hope hes talking to the right people.

They are guessing. Would you be suprised if he did declare and doesnt hire an agent. If goes this way and does come back it is a good thing. They will tell him what he needs to work on and hopefully give him a good weight program.

It's been said before, high probability he'll declare and not hire an agent...

HIGHLY doubtful he'd hire an agent...he's not stupid.

I would expect Brackins to declare w/out signing an agent--test the waters and get feedback.

Of course, I was ridiculed a couple months ago when I suggested there was a 25% chance that Brackins would be in Ames in '09-'10, that Damion James was 25% to return to Austin, and Collins and Aldrich were each 50-50 to return to Kansas.

It appears I was not wrong at all, just ahead of the curve. I accept your apologies.

dude. seriously. i actually think its more of a 75% chance CB is back. he is going to declare without and agent, hear that hes a late 1st/early 2nd round pick and realize its in his best intrest to come back for 1 more year and become a lottery pick

Yeah I just dont see how he would want to enter the draft and be that late of a pick. Thats why hes going to see where hes at. Even though some people have him near top 10 I dont think so. Hell most people have Cole Aldrich going top 5-10 next year. If Im not mistaken Brackins straight man-handled him in Ames.

LOL yes those percentages are a fact! Actually you are wrong because the chance of Collins and Aldrich are returning are bout 19% for Sherron and 27% for Cole! durrrrrr

But seriously Sherron and Cole are more than 50-50 for the NBA, KU is about to give out their 15th scholarship for next year (if Aldrich and Collins return)

You throw a broad statement out there and want a cookie after may or may not come true. Was that before or after CB went off on KU.

Re: ESPN "one foot in the door" for Craig Brackins

My post is in this thread, post #29. You can read the subsequent ridiculing on your own. The only thing I would change is possibly bumping Cole up to about 60-70% gone after the season. He has been fabulous in the last month, especially last Sunday, and after I made the post I found out that his dad recently lost his job.

I still don't see what Brackins has to gain by coming back. A potential NCAA berth? Has anyone ever came back for a ppotential NCAA berth? Players with NBA talent don't come back to bad teams. When it does happen (and off the top of my head, I can't think of when it has), it's in very rare circumstances, such as a bad injury. Again, I'm not saying that I know he's not coming back, just that the circumstances are pointing to that conclusion. You, of course, are entitled to your own opinion, and we won't know for sure until he makes a final decision.

Re: ESPN "one foot in the door" for Craig Brackins

I hope he realizes that he didn't have first round NBA talent when he came to ISU and that another year or 2 with the coach who helped develop that talent could make him a lottery pick. Also an education can never be take from you. I would like to see a "where are they now" of every NBA draft pick who left college early in the last 15 years and compare it to a "where are they now" on every draft pick who finished school before being drafted.

On a side note during the ND/KY game tonight they said Hargondy and Griffin had the most 20/10 games this year and Brackins was 3rd.
