Interesting nugget about ISU playing Big 12 teams at home...

Kansas is attempting this weekend to become the first Big 12 team to win 3 in a row at Hilton.

    Found that very interesting.

I'd be shocked if many teams ever won 2 in a row vs ISU in Hilton. I miss the days of beating KU atleast once a year.

Another reason statistics are so much fun. Since Hilton opened (1971-72), there have been six occasions where a conference opponent has a 3-game (or better) winning streak in Ames.

The last one was by Kansas from 1996-98. However, since the Big 12 started in the 1997 season, only TWO years of that streak would be considered as Big 12 games. The first year would have Kansas as a Big Eight team.

So yes, technically, no Big 12 team has won 3 in a row at Hilton.

This is WM fault - we played without a plan for two years.

    How about a better stat:

No Big 12 team has EVER beaten GMAC, home or away!

As ISU's coach, just a clarification. Gotta love stat's.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

Heh, we only have a one game losing streak there. That's probably a lot less than any team not named Oral Roberts. In fact, a team from the Big 12 South has NEVER won there so we've done pretty well for ourselves.
