    Kevin Stallings' Record

In Stalling's first four seasons at Vandy he finished 8-8, 4-12, 6-10 and 3-13 in the SEC.

If he is such a great coach now, was he not then? How many on this board would have been ******** about the "youth excuse" or the "crappy offensive schemes" afer his first four seasons?

I think you get my point. Just because we have struggled the last three years does not mean we are destined to struggle the next three.

If we get the talent the wins will come.

Other than WM year three or Baylor this year or the myriad of other teams with great talent that underachieve.

Do you seriously think that WM got all the wins out of his talent that he could have?

I for one don't. Not even close. Year 1 should have undoubtedly been an NCAA tourney team. So frustrating. Year 2 should not have needed a mircale 7 game winning streak (which was AWESOME by the way) to sneak in. And Year 3...well, we all know about year 3 :(

No, but he had enough talent to win despite his coaching deficiencies. That was my point.

Exactly. And those teams had light years more talent than this team--ourtside of CB.

My point is that GMac is maximizing the talent and experience that he currently has. With even better talent or experience, they'll win more. And much better talent is on the way.

And if you want to toss that "Well, it's his fault we don't have better talent", I throw the "No, it's WJ's fault" right back at you.

And yes, I'm expecting us to beat Tech handily Saturday.

    55-39 with 3 postseason appearances-4 player defections

43-46 with no postseason appearances-11 player defections

Morgan's numbers aren't astounding when compared to McDermott but they are better, especially where it matters most---postseason

    Re: Kevin Stallings' Record

Morgan went to the postseason twice not three times. Your point remains valid however.

This thread has been hijacked by yet another WM discussion. Ick.

    Re: Kevin Stallings' Record

Damn thread title fooled me in to another Morgan/McD debate.
