    Golf season

I was wanting to get some new clubs. I looked at the X22's and they felt pretty good. I also looked at Taylor made, Mizuno's, Cobra's and Ping's. I would like peoples opinions on which route to go. I have a set of X20's that I like, not love, but like.

I have Nike ignite irons and love them. Really improved my game.

Spend some decent money though, and you can't go wrong.

I treated myself last year and got the Titleist AP-1, which reminds me a lot of Calloways. It's for us 14- handicappers, but I'm loyal to Titleist and felt like paying up.

PS: I want to look at the Square-Head drivers because I hear folks swear how straight they are.

my X20's ran me a pretty penny, they just are getting old. So was I thinking of a new route if possible or stick with the same brand. Just wondering what others opinions are.

I have ignites too. They are a good set. You dont want to spend to much (supposedly theres a recession) but you want value. I found good values on the internet. Try to look for stuff at rockbottomgolf Discount Golf Clubs, New Golf Clubs and Golf Equipment from TaylorMade, Adams Golf, Mizuno, Tommy Armour, Callaway, Cleveland, Wilson, Nike, Bag Boy and Ogio - RockBottomGolf.com
thats where i got some good stuff. Anyway, i like Nike.

    Re: Golf season

My advice is try 'em all and see what suits your game.

I'm not a big fan of square drivers, but that's just me. They work, or they wouldn't make them. I just can't get over how ugly they are, and the fact most of them sound like you're banging a trash can lid with a stick.

I also don't like flying saucer shaped putters, or belly putters, or long putters.

I personally avoid pretty much anything by Taylormade just because I like to be able to get some sort of resale out of my equipment and you're pretty much hosed the minute you walk out the door with the latest R series driver.

Basically, if you can buy it at Rock bottom Golf, there's a good chance it'll be next to worthless within 3 or 4 years.

But, again, golf equipment is a pretty personal thing. Take a half dozen 7 irons out and see what you like.

    Re: Golf season

If you look on the internet, you can always find a good quality set of irons for 300-500 dollars.

Yeah, good stuff. I got my Nike's brand new for around 350 a couple years ago.

Check the golf discount sites and check ebay. Ebay will always have some great deals on brand new unused sets.
