Buckley will start at PG next year

    He is strong
    He makes his shots.
    He has good court vision.
    He moves with the ball
He tries to make things happen
    He forces the issues
He can get to the hoop
    He is a natural leader.
    He is athletic
    He is a natural athlete
He seems to be a smart player.

He has had a few turnover issues but that will be cured with experence. He has got a lot better as the Big 12 season. I feel he will give DG a run for his money at the starting PG.

Gosh I hope that's not true.

Hes ok, but a Big 12 starter? ugh.

Colvin will be starting before Buckley. I am hoping for a Colvin, DG back court next year.

It's pretty depressing that some don't think that we can expect Buckley to be better than the embarrassing point guard play we have seen this year.

You make it sound like "he forces the issues" is a good thing.

I hope he's an upgrade next year... but it's a pretty large stretch to think he will be

Hopefully he improves from this year to next, like Boozer did from last year to this.

Buckley has impressed me lately. He is definitely a true point guard, while garrett is more of a 2. If garrett can get down a decent jump shot I look for him to start at the two next year. I'm hoping those two start next year since we will have more guys who can handle the ball next year and wont have to worry about the depth at point.

Re: Buckley will start at PG next year

Given the way the season was bound to go, not sure why ISU didn't just take its lumps and give him a ton of minutes this year. Had the same complaint with not playing DG until late last season.

Might be crazy but I would have been tempted to go small and start DG, Buckley, Booze, Brackins, and maybe Staiger. ISU would have gotten killed by bigger teams, but would have at least had some athleticism on the court.

No way he can play the 2. If he hasnt figured out how to shoot by now he isnt going to.

Both were brutal tonight. 3 turnovers from your backup point guard is not a good number in 15 minutes. DG had 6 in 31 minutes. Neither is acceptable. DG had 8 points, DB with 4.

His shot has gotten much better than it was when he came in. He can nail a 16 footer now. If he works on the shot during the off season he could get it down.
