    Eikmeier article in OWH

Nothing new, but goes over his season of sickness and injuries. I have kept quiet this year because no one would have beleived all the problems he has had.

I had no idea he has been laid up so much this season.

Ike's minutes had disappeared before he was hurt. He should have been redshirted.

Too bad, seems like a hard worker. I would suppose they have looked into why he is ill all the time, maybe his diet or some other variable is making him ill.

Nothing has been decided, but I have heard rumblings of redshirting him next year...

I was wondering about that...I like the idea personally. I think he's got a lot of potential for us, I really do, but needs a lot of weight and strength. His body still has a long, long way to go.

That would be great. I am still baffled as to why it didn't happen this season.

Early, it looked like we were going to need him...would have seen more time if he was healthy all year.

Poor kid. In the few minutes he played against Baylor, I realized that I had forgotten that he can actually drive to the basket. I also had forgotten that having him and Lucca in there could really change our offense. I felt so bad for Wes after the South Dakata State game....he looked just devestated. It probably didn't help him that he couldn't play much after that.

I sure hope he keeps his head up......there are a lot of good things in his future. And he can look at Boozer for an example of a player that had a tough freshman year and is making some solid contributions in the next year.

That may not be too bad of an idea because looking to the future, there appears to be a be drop off of kids after the 2011 season. Ten of the current kids will be gone after the 2011 season. We add 2 next season, but one will be one and done. My point is that it would be nice to have some Big 12 experienced upperclassmen mixing in with the high number of underclassmen we will have on the roster then.

I'll take your word for it. After his shot selection at the end of the Hawaii game I have my doubts.

With the talent that we are recruiting (crossing fingers) I'd pass on a RS for Wes unless he's unable to build his body up at all over the off-season.

2011 class is very important...IMO, we need to sign a big too...Currently, only bigs in 2012 will be Pomlee and Dykstra.

Are there any bigs on our radar? Ham will be a Junior in 2011 and that's all we'll have. That's not good.

Agreed, I'd rather them just get him ready for next season.
