    Brackins Moving Up

NBADraft.net has an article about Brackins being a late bloomer. He is now projected to be a top 10 pick going to the Knicks. Take it however you want to but this answers the question as to whether or not he is known on the national level. Most people don't like sites like this but NBADraft.net is by far the most accurate.

    NBA Comparison: Shareef Abdur-Rahim
The breakdown on him is right on target...He would pry fit in the knicks style of offense too...I have given up on him being around next year....

I wish I knew more about his family and what their situation is...You can't turn down a "projected" top 10 pick if their situation is not the best...

    Re: Brackins Moving Up

I guess I dont see how he is coming back. I just dont see how he could/would come back..

I just hope he has better success than Fizer, Stinson, Blalock or Troy Davis for that matter.

If he ends up being told by the majority of people that he hears from that he will end up being a lottery pick...imo he's as good as gone...but that's a definate if...

Last year NBAdraft.net had DeAndre Jordan from Texas A&M as high as #2 in their mock drafts, and in their lottery all the way through the season, including draft night...Jordan ended out being an early second round pick...

The site has a decent reputation but it's no guarantee.

If most guys have even decent chance of being a lottery pick, dont they usually go.. worst case is you are drafted late first or second round.

I'd say it depends on how good of a chance...there is a big difference between lottery and late first round, and especially early 2nd round...Coach Mac will get as good of a feel as he can for where Brackins will be projected in the draft at the end of this year, and IMO, if the consensus is he's a lottery pick, he's gone...if the majority say he's a mid to late first rounder, I'd give us about a 60-40 shot of keeping him.

    Re: Brackins Moving Up

The interesting thing is where the T-Wolves would end up in all of this. I think there is an ISU connection somewhere with their front office and they could be in that range where Craig is projected to go. Plus there front court is weak besides Al Jefferson. Mark Madsen, Brian Cardinal, and Jason Collins are at the PF spot. Yikes, those are the 3 worst players in the NBA by far.

Does anyone know if GMac has a JUCO power forward (4) to go after if CB declares for the draft?

    Re: Brackins Moving Up

It would suck if he leaves. But if he does leave after this year, going to the Knicks would at least make me a little happy.

Step 1: Cut a hole in the box.

    Re: Brackins Moving Up

I don't want him to leave but it would be awesome if he went to the Timberwolves. I don't actually have any pro teams that I really like in either the NFL or the NBA, but if I had to pick an NBA team it'd probably be the Timberwolves. I usually only root for teams with former ISU players on the roster anyways, so that would be awesome.

Does anyone know why people on this site put so much stock in NBAdraft.net? Its not like they are terribly accurate. I just don't get it.

Brackins wouldn't be the answer for those guys. He's not a PF in the NBA. He's not big enough to play PF and he's not quick enough to play SF. If he bulks up then he may work into a PF but he's not right now. I remember one of our games the announcer made the comment he needs to work on his outside game because his frame isn't the type that can add much weight. i don't know who it was talking but it seems they may have had a point.

His play as of late hasn't been good. He needs another year.
