    Paul Harvey RIP

Radio lost a legend tonight. I always enjoyed listening to him.

    Re: Paul Harvey RIP

RIP Paul. The only decent part of my job last summer was Paul Harvey 3 times/day.

Says he went on radio in 1933. He was on radio longer than I'd bet 95% of Fanatics have been alive.

    Re: Paul Harvey RIP

My great uncle (who passed this last year) used to draw a one cell comic for the Waterloo paper. He did one that mentioned Paul Harvey in the caption. Mr. Harvey found out about it and bought the original from him for $250. He actually never cashed the check, just kept it in his scrapbook. I always thought that was pretty cool.

Although Paul would have never been able to reconcile his checking account balance after that. Oh well.

I always liked that little whistle he made when he said his "S" words.

Sad. I can remember hearing P.H. from the time I was old enough to know what a radio was.

We have lost so many of our icons in the last five years it is spooky. Many of the best inventions that we take for granted were invented by people who have passed away in the last five years.

Probably true for most 5 year periods.
