    Michigan lowers football ticket prices

    From ESPN:

Michigan lowers price of football tickets for 2009 season - ESPN

Michigan season tickets: $400/8 home games = $50.00/game

ISU season tickets: $350/6 homes games = $58.33/game

Maybe we will be forced to do the same thing.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

In 2007 they were 9-4 and beat Florida in the Capital One Bowl. So the ball was only dropped for one season. But their outlook for a winning 2009 is questionable.

because we give up home games to play in KC.

JP better lump the Iowa ticket into season ticket sales or you will be seeing a major drop in ticket sales because of the economy, that doesn't even take into consideration 5 wins in the past 2 years.

Re: Michigan lowers football ticket prices

I think football tickets are about where they need to be, but the more I hear about our diehard womens fans (to which I dont doubt there are) that seems like a sport that we should be able to squeeze more money out of.

Hopefully the women will see a nice rise in ticket prices.
