    Our biggest problem

Is we don't have the athleticism on the wing right now to make teams pay for overplaying the perimeter. Lucca can provide some of that when healthy, but he looks like he is towing a Buick around on the court right now. Hopefully Colvin, Gilstrap, and Christopherson can take care of that problem. I would really like to see Boozer's minutes go up by 25-40% right now.

I missed it, is there a mandate here that stated everyone needs to have their very own "this is why we lose" thread? :)

Hip, shoulder, knee. I am afraid though he might be one of those guys that never gets healthy.

    Re: Our biggest problem

The only hope to save that is Gillstrap. I just hope he can hit an athletic shot, you know drive and pop or hit one with a player in his face and dribble the ball. Good teams have not only their PG that can handle the ball but another guard on the court that can do the same. Right now ISU has 2 guys that can handle the ball well, one is a foward the the other has issues at times.

Our biggest problem is that people expect things to change for us without adding new players to the roster.

I tend to agree. I don't understand all the meltdowns after losses this year. After we lost to Drake, Hawaii, SDSU, etc it became pretty clear to me what this season was going to be about. I'm done being mad until next year, if things are still bad.

If he got, say 24% more minutes would you be ok with that or would that be 1% to few?

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

He is currently rated the #26 best prospect in the country... ahead of several McDonalds AA kids (yes, I know he is a JUCO).

Colvin is the #29 SG on ESPN and is somewhere in the top 150 so help is on the way.

That's right. It's not like guys suddenly become more athletic overnight. If I'm slow today, I'll be slow next week. That stuff can be worked on in the off-season, but people have a natural ceiling as far as their athletic ability.

    Re: Our biggest problem

It might be unreasonable to think we will go from where we are now to a NCAA team without new players, but our team is young enough that even with no new players we would be much improved next season.

    Re: Our biggest problem

McD's job at ISU will be in the hands of Gillstrap and Colvin. If they don't bring more athletism to the team, he's done, in my opinion.
