    Offense

Thought DG did way to much dribbling and obviously we didn't shoot well...

Can make an argument that we are not in the game without Haluska's and Petey's defense...but we just can't score when the 3s aren't falling.

About the only thought I have left is going with Buckley(at point), DG, Booze and attack the rim...

Mac is defense first...but my question is...

Would our offense improve enough to make up for a worse defense by going with that guard lineup?

I really thought alot of DG's overdribbling was out of necessity. He was looking for guys to pass but they never moved and at times went away from the ball. Somebody HAS to work to get open and get something started but I don't think even CP3 could do anything when everyone is just standing around...

    Re: Offense

We have just got to push the ball up the court more, im just sick of watching us lose and only score 45 to 50 points a game.

    Re: Offense

I'd be ok with each player having a shock device attached to them. And when they're just standing around, especially when someone is in trouble with the ball - fans have transmitters that will rectify the situation.

I'd even be ok with incoherent movement at this point. Just randomly run around in circles, it would be better than this concrete-foot disease we have.

    Re: Offense

I agree that our offense is nonexistent. But I was also very disappointed with our shot selection at the end of the game. 10 seconds left and the best play that we can execute has three guys in a bunch 10 feet beyond the three point line chucking up a bad shot with 8 seconds left??? I'm sorry, but either the offensive coaching let down, or the players have no idea how to execute. Lucca is taking very poor shots and is very slow. Physically our team is not built ready for the Big XII. Our defense I agree was good and has improved tremendously. I just would like to see someone show signs of offense outside of pressuring Brackins to be our only production.

Probably...If we are going to dribble that much; we should just run the weave, so at least there is a purpose behind the dribbling...

We don't see many back door cuts...don't know if we are quick enough, but it would help keep the defense honest.

Still maintain DG is not a point...Much more comfortable with Buckley at the point. DG is not strong enough to create space, especially when the officials are going to let the defender hand check and ride the ball handler. Buckley is much better at beating the double team in the open floor.

Backdoor cuts, shallow cuts, screen away, screen the ball, anything is better than standing and watching or running away from the ball...

If DG isn't a point, then I don't see how he has a position.

Buckley woudln't even score 3 points if all we run is a perimeter isolation to Craig or something to get Lucca a look for 3.

    Re: Offense

I'm still trying to figure things out... And I'm guessing thats why I'm not a coach on any level right now.

I will give Haluska and Petey credit for being good at stoping defenders. I wish we had another option though. When Haluska is in the game you can basically say we are at an offensive disadvantage. We are basically playing 4 on 5. Sean has only hit a couple of shots in the conference season. We are already a offensively challenged team. We really can't afford to handicap it that much more.

AT plays his heart out. He can defend and probably rebound better then Ham or JVB but he is another player that puts us at a disadvantage on the offensive side of the ball.

I noticed yesterday we cleared out alot for DG when he was at the top of the key with ball. Just Ham or JVB setting a screen and everyone else standing around 15 to 20 ft from the basket. DG got to the hoop alot, but like we have seen in previous games, his shots will not fall. Even lay ups.

Hopefully Brackins will stay... Otherwise, it will probably be worse next year.

This brings up an interesting discussion...Brackins is obviously our number 1 option...Who should be 2? 3? 4? 5?

Currently Lucca is probably 2 or 3...maybe he should be 4 or 5?
