This team's problem is more of mental issues

For so many games, they start the first half well and tak a lead into the locker room, then start to collapse in the second half. They usual play relaxed starting the games, but whenever they have a lead, they start to get nervous and lose their composure.

If you shoot 40% of 3 balls in none conference games and shoot 10% in conference games, it is not beacuse of opponents defense, it is because of your mentality.

I think the real issue is there are not enough new threads after losses with people saying the same thing over and over.

No, it's because when you play a cupcake non-conference schedule, you don't face tough athletic defenses, and you get open looks. In the Big 12, you face athletic defenses that can shut down the three-point shot.

Several posters here predicted that in ISU's stand-around-and-watch-Brackins offensive scheme, the three point shooting was going to tank in the Big 12. It has. Maybe for next year, the coach can devise an offensive scheme actually suitable for the Big 12. For his sake, I hope he does.
