    College Football Stadium Bucket List

I was talking to my dad today and we started discussing which stadiums we'd like to visit for a game. I figure rather than always talk about it that in the near future I'm going to actually visit them. I think it'd be interesting to see what everyone's personal lists are.

    1. Ohio State As much as I hate the big 10 the band marching the ****** Ohio and the dotting of the I is the coolest tradition in college football.
    2. Notre Dame I don't like the Irish and I really don't care if that makes me a bad catholic but I figure this is a must visit. Living in chicago makes it a no brainer for me.
3 Tennesee Massive stadium with rocky top blaring all the time.
4 Rose Bowl Hopefully it'd be to see ISU play someone in a BCS game.

Those are the must visits I can think of. There are others like Michigan and Penn State that I definetly wouldn't turn down the opportunity to watch a game there but wouldn't actively seek it.

edit: Why in the world is S-C-R-I-P-T edited by the profanity filter?

Not so much for the stadium, but the experience...

    Army vs. Navy

Tennessee's for sure, for the game AND tailgating on a boat on the river there. Id love to be a member of the volunteer navy for at least one day.

Notre Dame just for the history, and the venue's significance.

Attending the Iron Bowl would be an experience I would want to have before I died as well. Preferably at Alabama.

Re: College Football Stadium Bucket List

I am riding with my dad to the Kent State game...he is going to the Kent State game, I am not. I will be going to the Notre Dame vs Michigan State game because I am a DIE HARD IRISH FAN!!!!

Despite most of the Cyclone/Hawkeye hostility, I think Kinnick is a beautiful stadium. I didnt get to go to OSU last year but I heard T Boone is a beautiful stadium and that of the stadiums played at last year, it was a favorite of some of the players.

I did go to Folsom last year and I loved it. I have run in the Bolder Boulder 10k before and finishing in the stadium was even more exhilerating than crossing the finishline at Drake in high school....I gotta go, but I'll be back with some more tid bits of goodness

Rose Bowl is awesome, for a UCLA game or for the bowl game. It is usually pretty easy to scalp in, yes even the bowl. If you ever have the time and inclination, head on out. It is quite an experience. The parade is worth getting up at oh my it is early to see too.

I drove by there a few years ago. Parking is a *****. You would think for stadium that seats 90K there would be more than just a couple access roads to get in.

    In no particular order:

    Notre Dame
    Michigan
    Happy Valley
Rose Bowl (my wife went in 2000 to see UW vs Stanford but I didn't get to go)
    Texas
    Texas A&M
    Ohio State
    USC
    Virginia Tech
    Florida State

For those that make their list - you definitely need to put Camp Randall on your list. One of the best college football environments around. My wife and I make an annual trip and always have a ball.

I believed in Gene Chizik and all I got was this lousy limited-edition commemorative coin.

Even though not a big 10 fan, got to go to the Big house for the Mich v. OSU game in '05 when Troy Smith was there. Was in the Mich student section, it was pretty awesome atmosphere.

I guess I would add Nebraska to that list, and it seems like a lot of folks think that Folsom Field is a great place to see a game as well.

Re: College Football Stadium Bucket List

Nebraska would be a good one, and although I haven't seen a game there I went to the football camp. I figure playing on the field is even better than watching a game. It must've been like 2000 and I remember being in awe of the field turf, and now high schools have it.
