Interesting Article re: Shane Battier, Statistics, etc.

Just read this article in the New York Times Magazine that offers some interesting reading into the use of non-traditional statistics and how they apply to the NBA, especially in regard to evaluating players like Shane Battier who may not put up big numbers, but are very valuable to their teams. It is pretty long, but written by the guy who wrote "Moneyball" and is interesting throughout.

Good read. It's hard to measure the intangibles.

Battier did the job against LeBron tonight, too.

LeBron went 7-21 from the field with 0 assists, and the Cavs lost by 19.
