I have heard that as well, but I have also heard something in the range of 7+ inches. And that this system is still changing and there is no way to be sure right now. So figured this is a good one to get our resident weather experts opinions on.
Tuesday: A slight chance of rain or freezing drizzle before noon, then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. South southeast wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Tuesday Night: Rain and snow likely, becoming all snow after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Blustery, with a north northwest wind 7 to 10 mph increasing to between 17 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday: Snow likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 27. Windy, with a north northwest wind between 21 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy and windy, with a low around 7.
