    UUUUUUUUUU!

Remember this from last year? The "cheer" for Jiri.

If he continues to play like he has the past couple games and doesn't air-ball anymore free-throws, look for "UUUUUUUUU!" to be heard inside Hilton.

    Thanks G-Mac!

    Re: UUUUUUUUUU!

I was throwing stuff at the TV the whole game because of Jiri's missed layups tonight, but when the game was over it wasn't too bad. But those 2 free throws at the end.....

We won this conference game becuse we played Ohio State and Minnesota on the road and we were in similar circumstances before tonight.

    Re: UUUUUUUUUU!

Yeah, he's missing easy shots. Maybe it's because he's so used to shooting 3's, the close ones are foreign to him? lol

I'd expect him to improve with the post play as he continues to "live in his home". He's creating some good shots for himself, just gotta make 'em.

We can only hope Jiri continues to buy into what GMAC is teaching him, we will need our bigs to play well against the Huskers.

What a great comeback, I was reminded tonight of a quote from an announcer on ESPN last year during the NCAA that there in no better coach in the country getting the available talent ready to play than GMAC.

    Re: UUUUUUUUUU!

Now if McDermott can teach him how to make a layup or possibly even use the glass after an offensive rebound....

but we all have to admit, he is finaly doing what he is sposed to, he just needs to work on finishing, and holding onto the ball higher

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
