Paul did a great job at the DMCC luncheon today and I talked to him a little after the lunch. He said he couldn't believe Jake Stott was still available and that he thought he could become one of the best players to come out of this class. Thought he would start out as a linebacker but could grow into a de. The kid also has great hands.

I am way more excited right now than I was two years ago. I don't know if we will have success right away but I feel that CPR will take us to the promised land in the future.

yeah, the more I read and things I see on CPR the more I want the season to start. If it were not for the combine and the draft in April I would be even more anxious then I am already.

He has a better chance of running into the goal post

Re: Good interview with Coach Rhoads

I don't know, I just don't trust this guy; there is something off about Paul Rhoads.

Imagine that, we hired a guy who is actually PASSIONATE about being here and wants to see Iowa State succeed. End of story.

"CSR: Some new coaches who come into a situation where a team just went 2-10 would have to rebuild the fan base but at Iowa State that clearly is not the case. How important is that to you as a coach?
PR: It's really huge because this team went 0-8 in the Big 12 and lost ten straight to end the season and yet these fans are still really supportive. It's really huge to our kids and the way they approach things because they are not being told how bad they are as a team. They're being told how close they are to doing something really special here at Iowa State."

Oh, it will be special. And it will mean more to us than it ever could to other programs. That is definitely reason to pat yourselves on the back here CF. We support our school, kids, MASCOT better than anyone out there no contest.

GO PAUL RHOADS & GO CYCLONES!

I agree. WHere Chizik blew off Jake Knott, PR jumped in and now we have an Iowa kid who should be a big factor for us for the next four to five years. I think that was a great pick-up for us. I really like Knott's versatility.
