    Recruits

There was talk on the Men's board of another hot recruit from Ballard. Anyone have more detail?

10th grade forward, in my opinion the best player on that team. Have heard she is being recruited by a lot of the big name programs, Duke for example.

The only time I've seen Ballard this season was against Linn-Mar, and Zimmerman was by far the best player for Ballard that day. However, that game may not have been indicative of Greenfield's usual play -- Ballard as a whole had a heck of a time against Linn-Mar.

I kind of remember her from the game. She's a tall wing/slasher if I remember right. Kind of like Bolte. Someone who's seen her play more often (and more recently) can feel free to correct me.

    Re: Recruits

Someone on a Duke message board said Greenfield is ranked #14 in the class of 2011 by AGSR. You can't trust rankings too much, but she's obviously a real talent to be that high.

    Re: Recruits

She must be fairly tall to be second in rebounds for Ballard. Is she actually from the area or was she a recruit?

I saw her listed as a 6'2" guard somewhere...

Her family has lived in Huxley for as long as I can remember.

    Re: Recruits

I have seen her play a couple times this year and a couple times last year. The poster who said she can play the 1 through 5 is correct. In my opinion her game is just a lot less limited than Zimmerman's, for a baseball reference she is a five tool prospect instead of a power hitting prospect. Here are her stats from this year:

    Re: Recruits

    Couple of things -

1.) We have Bill Fennely. Awesome coach.

2.) We are a top 25 program right now.

3.) We have outstanding student-athletes representing ISU WBB.

4.) ISU WBB has amazing fan support!

This should all make getting top talent (in-state, at that) to ISU that much easier. I hope we can get this girl.
