Adam is finally a basketball player

Up until this year he was a awesome athlete who happened to play basketball, know he is a complete player as far passing, dribbling, penetrating, defense, steals, leadership etc.... etc .........there is no reason he shouldnt be drafted.

Hey Mr, Haluska, I am sure you meant to post this on the Hawk board. Junior transferred, remember?

Re: Adam is finally a basketball player

i dont really care about him but i agree he is a much better player, but still not complete. he still depends a lot on others to penetrate and get him his shot at the 3 pt line. he is good at D and he is getting better at creating his own shot, but i dont think he should get drafted. that does not mean i dont think he will make a roster because i believe he can, but this will be a very deep draft this year.

It's taken Haluska four college years to become a mix between Chris Kingsbury and a poor-man's Luke Recker. Congrats!

If I shot 10 threes a game, i bet i could hit 3 too. He fouls way too much, turns the ball over, and shoots way way way too much too.

Im glad he is not a Clone.

Re: Adam is finally a basketball player

Adam Haluska is undoubtedly a hell of an athlete (reminesce on high school track) which is an accomplishment. He had potential but then hit the wall that is Steve Alford. I despise Haluska because of his lack of killer instinct, poor play, a seeming cockiness, and....oh yea, he goes to UI. However, I do believe he could have been something a little better than mediocre if he wouldn't have played under Alford. Steve Alford has a bad tendency to take players with potential and basically keep them in a career of mediocrity. Quick recap....Haluska in the NBA???? Good joke.

Re: Adam is finally a basketball player

He still can't get his own shot, he still plays poor defense. That does not seem like a recipe for the NBA. Plus he got all of his stats against the Georgia State's of the world.

Re: Adam is finally a basketball player

Adam is an average player on a less than average team, and that may be a little generous. The NBA? Please. The big decision Adam will be facing in his career after EIU is whether to make a career in "paper or plastic" or "would you like to supersize that today?"

Re: Adam is finally a basketball player

I think he is a good player, and would take him on our team to bust some open threes, but has the tendency to completely disappear in games, which I guarantee will happen many times in Big 11 play. He should be much more consistent considering he's had 5 years to hone his game in college, and knowing that he would be the man for Iowa this year.

All this being said, I do hold resentment toward him for bailing on us, and I delight in his struggles!

Who on current Iowa State team is better than Haluska? Curious to hear the responses. Last year I would have said Will and Curtis. How about this year?
