    Cyclone Alley at AHS game

I have heard from numerous sources today that Cyclone Alley will be at the AHS game tonite vs. Indianola to start cheers for HB. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not. And if it is go early like around 6, because it fills up quick.

Re: Cyclone Alley at AHS game

CA itself cannot organize something like this because of their affiliation to the university.

To answer your question, I haven't heard of people going to watch the game

This has NCAA infractions written all over it...

Cyclone Alley as a formal group can't advertise to go watch and cheer on Harrison Barnes. However, I don't see anything wrong with any of the individuals going to cheer someone on and invite their friends.

Infractions? What? Give me a break... I think if some ISU students came to AHS games to cheer on Harrison, it would be cool. Unless they gave him cash, no rules are broken.

Re: Cyclone Alley at AHS game

I would strongly reccomend anyone who has the chance to go see this team. Not just HB but the whole team is so special I am not sure there is another more dominant team in the history of Iowa boys basketball.

If they stay mentally alert they will end the 2009-2010 season before they lose.

How good of a player is McD's son? Is he a guy that could walk-on for ISU?

They do have a very good shot of going undeafted for 2 straight years. I could see them slipping to Linn-Marr though.

And Jesse P. promised me a dunk tonite, so i expect more than just HB throwing it down.

Re: Cyclone Alley at AHS game

I used to be one of the student organizers of CA and when I was there, from what I remember, we couldn't do stuff like that. NOW, if a bunch of friends in CA got together and wore their shirts and cheered on, that's fine, but Cyclone Alley couldn't actually sanction that event. It'd be cool, but that's "recruiting" technically and could endanger the athletic dept.

CA has two faculty advisors: 1 from the alumni association and 1 from the athletic dept. marketing team. I'm CONFIDENT that the athletic department advisor wouldn't let that happen.

Hes good he is 6'7 with an outstanding touch, he is a good defender, good rebounder, and has great basketball IQ. Also he rarely misses, i dont know his exact FG % but its through the roof.

Re: Cyclone Alley at AHS game

It isn't Cyclone Alley that's organizing the road trip; it's a facebook group (I can't remember the name but it's something like ISU fans for Harrison Barnes). I got an invite even though I live in Michigan -- in the deep, deep, dark shadow of the Big 10 thrown by the U of M.

This is correct. I also got that invitation. I was going to paste it here, but I can't seem to bring it up again.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!
