It's not every single call. It's 5+ terrible calls/non-calls a game and we're letting the refs know that we want a fair game.

Amen. It's not even just bad calls. It's all calls, and some of that is going to happen, good calls and bad.

It becomes an excuse, and it's not really worth it.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

I would disagree. The fans have sat on their hands a lot of the year, and when they boo, at least they are showing some emotion.

Fans boo and they can get some calls. They could have the same impact that a coach who chews a refs *** after a bad call

    Re: Enough of the booing...

On TV, I only heard it when Brackins got called for that traveling. I think it was rightfully deserved at that point. Trying to make a last minute run and the Ref virtually put a stop to it.

Granted, we probably would've still lost the game but it's frustrating watching a team that underperforms and whenever they start to do something good a bad call takes all the fire out of the team and the crowd.

"If you can't hear me, it's because I'm in parentheses."

I thought the call on Brackins was a travel, he took two steps and went to the ground... The worst was the call right after, the guy was clearly fouled going to the hoop and everyone boos. At that point of the game we had one foul called on us to their six in the half so you can't say it was one sided...

Does it matter? We're showing our opinion of things happening on the court. We're showing our team that we're behind them. If I was on our team tonight, I'd be damn proud of our crowd for getting on the refs, and it would pump me up. The crowd's role is to let everyone know that they are in HILTON COLISEUM home of the CYCLONES, and we don't tolerate ********!

The day when our fans act like they don't care at games will be a sad day.

Also, the reason you hear BOO's after some calls even if they were valid is because they were 99% of the time coming after a BS call. The crowd is still fired up and letting the refs have it. I love it.

Brackins never had control of the ball, he didn't travel. So, that was a boo-able call.

It's not just fouls called. It's non-calls and obvious travels that were most frustrating tonight. I don't remember who the specific players were, but remember when Boozer (I think) was chasing after a loose ball near mid-court and was basically shoved out of the way by a Misery player and there was no call? It's things like that, that **** off fans. Especially on our home court.

I thought he had it initially then lost it coming down, still a travel...

That was physical play they let go all game, not a 'shove'. To me it's like the crowd is begging for calls and sympathy... its sad...

    Re: Enough of the booing...

If the crowd is booing the players.... it is sad

If the crowd is booing for sympathy.... it is sad

If the crowd is booing for calls...... that is called college athletics. It would be much much more embarassing if we didn't boo. Nothing wrong with showing some emotion
