    Is Pendergast an option?

I don't follow coordinators a great deal, so I post this in curiosity (and the hopes that it hasn't come up already). Reports are that Clancy Pendergast is out in Arizona. Is he a possible DC option here?

    Pendergast won't return to Cardinals

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

    2 words. Probably not.

NHL teams need to be added to the favorite teams section.

    Not ones that get fired.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

    Re: Is Pendergast an option?

I would say he is more likely an option for the Kansas City D-Coordinator job than the ISU job. Not saying I think either is going to happen.

    Re: Is Pendergast an option?

Pendergast was a holdover from the DG era. Management wanted him to stick so Whisenhunt kept him on.

The Cardinal defense hasn't been very good. That said, they also haven't had the best personnel either--so not sure another coach could have produced better results. Not saying I'd like to see him as our DC tho.

    Re: Is Pendergast an option?

why not he built a defense that was good enough to get a team that hadn't won a championship in 60 years to within :35 of a superbowl title in a game they were supposed to be blown out in they only allowed 20 points to the steelers "o" and held carolina's and Atlanta's vaunted rushing attacks in check

"Day after day, situation after situation you do things the right way. If you do things the right way, in life, you are going to be successful. I'm not just your football coach; I'm not just here to win games. I could not be prouder of who we are and who we are becoming, together. You do things right in the classroom, off and on the field; that's whats's makes us Cyclones and that's what our culture's all about."

We already have a Yancy. A Clancy on the staff would be over the top.

He will be an assistant somewhere in the NFL if he doesn't get another coordinator job.
