    Phillip Bates

Does anyone know if Phillip is still at ISU? I was talking to a friend and he said he saw him on campus the other day.

If he is here, is he going to try out?

I heard that Rhoads wants to try him out at OG. His speed could really be an asset there.

OG? I can't see Phillip dishing up salad and handing out breadsticks.

He could also be a great middle linebacker.

    Re: Phillip Bates

I say make him play end, guard and tackle position.................

As in sit on the END of the bench, GUARD the water cooler, and TACKLE anyone who tries and drinks it when they shouldn't.

    Re: Phillip Bates

He could have made a lot of money in the NFL playing elsewhere (LB, Safety, WR). You see how well run first quarterbacks do in the NFL (Vick, Young). I'm sorry but someone close to him dropped the ball.

    Re: Phillip Bates

He is not listed in the ISU Directory, so if it was him, he was just passing through...

He isn't an Iowa State student. He used to live two floors straight below me. He might have been here visiting his girlfriend though...I dunno
