Scout breaks down our offense for next season with the new recruits

I really think the future is bright based on this breakdown.

Junior Ben Lamaak reportedly is moving to center and if this is the case he would likely start ahead of senior Mike Knapp and junior Alex Alvarez.

    Interesting.

Junior Austen Arnaud is clearly entrenched....

uh-oh....at least he's not firmly entrenched.

When he's with Sedrick all the time, yeah, he looks pretty big.

Re: Scout breaks down our offense for next season with the new recruits

I don't see how any of the three freshmen WRs could see the field next year, with 8 other receivers in front of them.

If you assume the 3 frosh redshirt, and we start 3 receivers, hows this for a depth chart:

    WR1: Darks, Jones, Range
    WR2: Johnson, Hamilton, Carlson
    WR3: Reynolds, Bellamy

Oh yeah, so is Kelechi Osemele and Tray Baysinger for that matter! I don't forsee a freshman starting lineman anytime soon

    Interesting.
Lamaak and Knapp were the only consistent linemen on the team last year. I would seem to think we would need both of them on the field to succeed.

What we have this year that we didn't have last year is depth.

Re: Scout breaks down our offense for next season with the new recruits

I agree. I think our offense will have a lot of depth and so we won't have to rush any of the freshman but I really think James White might be a freshman who could stick out due to his speed and overall talent.

I think hamilton makes a resurgence in his senior year. If herman is the genius hes touted as, he'll find work for a physically imposing WR.

I'm with you on Hamilton, but I think he may end up taking a TE's spot on the field. He's definitely the guy we want going over the middle. Plus that would allow him to matchup on a LB :)

I think the lineup at the beginning of next year looks like this:

    QB: Arnaud
    RB: A-rob
OL: Haughton, Osemele, Lamaak, Stephens, Hicks
WR: Darks, Sed, Hamilton, and H. Jones

I also think Bo, Reynolds, Bellamy, and Range will all have something to say about the starting lineup before long.
