    Crappy rule interpretations

Anybody else think it's stupid the way the rules have played out in this superbowl? How can the penalty on Arizona for roughing the holder give Pittsburgh a 1st down while the hard core personal foul on Harrison during the punt is applied AFTER the play??? Seems kind of wrong to me...

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

There's been some pretty weak calls on both sides of the ball.

True, but I was just meaning the way the rules are written...seems dumb that a foul can happen during the play on 2 different plays and have one of them called back and the other result after the play...

Bad officiating both ways to influence the outcome of the game...seemed like half of the game was decided by penalties

And no freaking kidding...within range to throw the ball to the endzone to win the game, and they don't find it necessary to review a questionable call??? What I was wanting to know is what they would have done if they reviewed it and gave it back to Arizona...would they have marched off the 15 yards for the personal foul after the recovery? My gut tells me they would have found a way to take away the penalty too...tough way to end the game...

Well, those are the rules of the game. You know what loser's do - blame the refs. Arizona f'd themseleves by committing stupid costly penalties. Harrison was smart enough to make his point without hurting his team.

The facemask call on AZ was BS cuz they were both grabbing each others facemask so they should have called it both ways and cancelled each other out.

    Re: Crappy rule interpretations

The most disappointing thing is now I'll have to listen and watch while commentators and ESPN folk talk about this for like a week while none of it will do anything good for the league.

The offensive player has more lattitude in grabbing facemasks than the defensive player.

Punching and shoving and getting into a guy who is on the ground is smart? And when he starts walking the other way and shoving him down again? Are you kidding me? Yep must be a smart player. He's a thug and a punk.
