    The Big Ham

Played a nice game today. He made Griffin work for his shots and rebounds. This kid is going to be a Cyclone great. His tip dunks are great.

Agreed, he's showing a lot of promise, seems like he's always there for the put-back. I'm very excited to see what he's like after a couple years of eating PB&J's and pumping the guns. He needs to finish with a little more authority at times, I'm getting tired of his easy lay-ins getting rejected... hopefully he's getting tired of it too.

    Re: The Big Ham

Hah - I just logged on to post something about Ham and here it is.

Talk about some valuable experience today against possibly the best player in America! The kid (Ham) is a true freshman and he held his own today. It's awesome to see he doesn't seem to get frazzled by all of the hype and playing against guys like Griffin. Griffin's a monster on the glass and he's done much more damage to other players in the league....... Anybody else see the segment on t.v. where they compared Griffin to Fizer? I thought that was actually a very good comparison.

I know Ham got blocked a couple times today, but he still kept getting after it and had a great follow-up tip dunk and nice baseline jumper down the stretch in the 2nd half.

The sky's the limit for this kid and I'll be rootin' him on the whole way.

My hat goes off to DG too - I was proud of his effort and pretty much the whole team's. They came ready to play today - just fell short against a great team.

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

He also played good against KUs center Alridge.
