    3 Visitors This Weekend

James Capello, QB, 6-foot, 186-pounds, Lebanon (PA) Lebanon High School

Keith Blanton, WR, 6-foot, 190-pounds, Garland (TX) Garland High School

Aaron Moore, C, 6-foot-5, 255-pounds, Frisco (TX) Centennial High School

Just more of a sure up thing for Moore im assuming. According to rivals we're in the lead for Blanton who is a 2 star recruit, but we havent offered him yet.

    Keith Blanton - Football Recruiting

Capello has no rating on rivals and also hasn't been offered.

Capello is a playmaker if I've ever seen one. He also has a pretty nice website of his own.

Keep in mind that walk-on candidates are often hosted during the last weekend of the recruiting period. It is also vital to land these guys, but just pointing out that a large group doesn't always mean that all are scholarship possibilities.

    Re: 3 Visitors This Weekend

It appears there's a new tradition developing under the Rhoads regime when it comes to bringing football recruits to Hilton. The last two Saturdays, I've noticed our football coaches get up before half time and lead the recruits from the west parquet, down past the pep band to the floor level, across the south side of the court, and then up the east side of the parquet through the middle of Cyclone Alley, and then out the east doors.

I'm assuming that they're hoping the fans will take notice of the parade of recruits and give them a huge cheer, but it hasn't really taken off yet. I hope it does because it could be a really neat tradition.

All the coaches and some current players were there too. I also heard him say "we have 3 outstanding young men this week", while showing them around.

Give it a season. Coach isn't THAT recognizable yet (although the parade should give a person some sort of an idea that's going on). When he gets more face-time throughout the football season, I bet it will pick up more next year.

Great idea tho. Hilton can rock and the students looked pretty rabid today. These young lads want to be rock stars and walking them through gives the students a chance to make them just that.

I may follow his lead and develop my own website which highlights my best posts on CF in 2008. Perhaps some video of me at the keyboard entering said posts.

I like it too. Rhoads put his hands above his head and started clapping right before they headed back up the stairs in the student section trying to get the students to give em a cheer. Makes the visitors feel good if we could get all of Cy Alley to pat em on the back and cheer em while they pass by.

Arkansas last week brought their recruits to center court during the b-ball game at Bud Walton for the fans to cheer, pretty moving for the kids I am sure.
