    Cowher to step down

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Cowher will leave the Steelers this week. One of the people the Steelers would like to interview is Kirk Ferentz. Should get interesting...

Ferentz is a Pittsburgh area native and a big Steelers fan. Him and the Rooney's know each other. Reminds me a lot of the Krause-Floyd time of thing...

    Re: Cowher to step down

It certainly seems that the Steelers are going to promote from within, based on what I have read. However if I were Ferentz and offered the Steelers job, I would not hestitate to accept it. As a Hawkeye fan, I would certainly like to see someone other than Ferentz get that job. Hopefully, one way or the other the job gets filled quickly.

I hope Kirk takes the job. Then we can reopen the Bernstine recruiting process.

I hope Kirk takes the job so I can start liking him again. He is too good for EIU and is about the only thing minutely respectful about that program.
